Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Each week there is a new topic and this week’s topic is a FREEBIE. I missed this topic a few weeks ago so I’m going back to get it now: Beach Reads Week — top ten great beach reads, ten books I plan to read on the beach, ten beach reads for those who don’t like typical ~beach reads~, ten authors who are my go-to for beach reads, etc.
So without further ado, here are the books that I would want in my beach bag this summer (all of these are 2016 releases).
Already Read
The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson
26 Kisses by Anna Michels
TBR
Summer Days & Summer Nights edited by Stephanie Perkins
The Crown by Kiera Cass
The Rose and the Dagger by Renee Ahdieh
A Tyranny of Petticoats edited by Jessica Spotswood
The Lifeboat Clique by Kathy Parks
The Siren by Kiera Cass
The Possibility of Now by Kim Culbertson
Not Released Yet
P.S. I Like You by Kasie West
Still waiting on the Unexpected Everything from my library. Why must it take forever? I haven’t heard of 26 Kisses, but I’m going to check it out on Goodreads now. Hope you enjoy the Rose & the Dagger!

Seriously. Waiting on holds is one of the worst parts of life! I received 26 Kisses as an ARC, but I hadn’t heard of the author before this book (it might have been a debut, but I’m not sure). I was a bit surprised with it–I ended up liking it more than I thought I would.

Yes, I’m actually number two on the wait list, but what are these other people doing with the book for this long? Why haven’t they finished it yet? Why?! Love when a book surprises you in a good way!

Seriously! And then sometimes people are late turning their books in…no courtesy!

Even though this week’s topic was a freebie, yours is like the 4th list I’ve seen The Rose and The Dagger on. I have it pegged for a beach read, too! I haven’t heard of most of the others, though.

Though I’ve been telling everyone this (not sure if I mentioned it to you too) but I feel as though I’m probably going to pick and choose the authors I read in Summer Days/Nights. I’ve also heard that some of the better stories are from those who don’t even typically write contemporaries — so that’s surprising!
Cheers,

That’s really surprising! And yeah, I agree with you on picking and choosing which authors to read. I remember the Christmas one definitely had some duds.

Great list and topic! Both The Unexpected Everything and Summer Days and Summer Nights are on my TBR for this summer, and The Possibility of Now also looks really interesting so I may have to check that one out soon too 🙂
Hope you enjoy the ones on your TBR and heres my TTT
