If my kids ever question what I might want for future Mother’s Days…books. Always books.
Volunteering at the library is both a good thing and a bad thing for me. Good because I love libraries and getting to work at one is awesome. Bad because every time I have a volunteer shift, I HAVE to stop by the sale section. It’s a compulsion. Luckily, I was able to hold myself to just one book from the sale section this week (the other three books I got from other places).
1) Archenemy by Frank Beddor – This completes The Looking Glass Wars Trilogy for me since I already had the first two. The funny thing about it is that I clearly remember reading the first two books in the trilogy, but I don’t remember reading this one. I’m sure I did, I just can’t remember it.
2) An Abundance of Katherines by John Green – I have yet to read anything by John Green, but this has been on my TBR forever and it’s always checked out on Overdrive! So for fifty cents I thought, “Why not?” and just bought it for myself.
3) Finding Mr. Brightside by Jay Clark – I won this book in a giveaway from Sydney over at Books and Stuff. I’m really excited to read it because I’ve seen some good reviews on it.
4) Saint Anything by Sarah Dessen – Sarah Dessen is my favorite author. I was a little disappointed with her last book, but I’m so excited to read this one. I’d been struggling with whether or not to buy it quite yet because I knew I wouldn’t be able to get to it for a little while. I’d finally decided to wait a little bit before buying it when my husband came home with a signed copy that he found at Target. What a guy!
Have you read any of my new books? Did you like them?
